Bryce Washington’s work is influenced by African culture, African history, and life experiences rarely depicted in art. He is motivated by a range of themes, from lesser-known historic Black excellence to the significance of African hair design. The expressive qualities of Emory Douglas and Samella Lewis inspired him to pursue a path into the arts. An artist from the Brazilian northeast, with over 40 years of musical experience, singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, guitarist Robson Batinga makes everyone feel good with his music. Although he's known to focus on his regional music: forró, xote, xaxado and baião, his eclectic musical side makes him an appreciator and performer of rhythms such as: bossa nova, jazz, samba, blues, country, slow rock, among others. My name is Onnie M. Chung, a retired practitioner of interior design. My clients exposed me to this group of California Watercolor Regional artists. They are the pioneers for Disney’s animation and many worked to set standards in art directions for the movie industry. They are part of American Art History. I am honored to have met some of these artists in person. In memory, they exist as mentors, heroes and inspiration. It is my pleasure to share these pieces of art and history with you.
